Reports were provided on building tours, OCSBA activities including a presentation on Generative AI, and student representative updates on district events.

Key discussion topics included student participation metrics, menu planning and adherence to nutritional standards, establishment of district criteria, and strategies for community and stakeholder engagement. The committee also outlined upcoming initiatives and discussed subsequent steps.

This professional learning plan aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning within the Minisink Valley learning community by ensuring all members participate in substantial professional development to meet the needs of all students and staff. It is founded on principles of enhancing learning and achievement, providing a safe environment, improving staff effectiveness, maintaining high standards, fostering intellectual stimulation, and promoting continuous learning. The plan focuses on building skills and capacities through ongoing activities aligned with District goals, emphasizing the closing of achievement gaps through common curricula, assessments, and effective evaluation systems. Key areas addressed include Professional Growth and Collaboration, Expanding Professional Capacity, Leadership development, Professional Learning Approaches, and Utilizing Data for continuous improvement, all in alignment with New York State Standards.

The Athletics Committee discussed several operational and policy-related items including updates on winter and spring sports, a review of team development, and an overview of the coaching staff hiring and interview process. Additionally, the committee reviewed the Parent and Student Codes of Conduct, evaluated existing Board of Education policies regarding athletics, and discussed the current state of athletics facilities.
