The Board reviewed various property cases. Actions included carrying one complaint to a future date, approving one complaint, establishing rent for a specific property, and dismissing one complaint. Additionally, the Board approved 2.5% annual rent increases for 20 residential properties.

The committee discussed updates regarding the Health/Green Fair, an Earth Day event at Braddock Park, and information concerning spotted lantern flies. Additionally, they reviewed programs for household hazardous waste, electronics and tire recycling, as well as electronic waste drop-off procedures and recent tree planting initiatives.

The committee discussed several initiatives including an update on the Woodcliff Avenue sidewalk project, which was deferred to a future meeting. Other topics included the scheduling and procurement of quotes for fall tree planting, the implementation of hydroponic education programs within local schools, and the status of the community garden at the downtown recreation center, which has secured a greenhouse and prepared planters.

The committee discussed planning for the upcoming Green Fair and the commencement of the Farmer's Market at Braddock Park, noting that vendor applications are currently being accepted. Additionally, the committee addressed the state's updated policy on managing Lantern Flies, which involves distributing traps and instructional materials instead of spraying.

The board reviewed a case involving property at 901-933 Kennedy Boulevard. The proposal for an addition of an outdoor dining deck to an existing restaurant and the conversion of a portion of the basement into a cigar lounge was approved with conditions.
