Manson School District Charge
This document outlines the charge for the Manson School District Community Facilities Task Force (CFTF), comprising community members, school board representatives, union representatives, and administrators. The task force is mandated to conduct technical review, engagement, and analysis to deliver long-term capital planning recommendations. A final report is due by February 22, 2027, which will include a long-range capital programming plan based on technical analysis and stakeholder input. The recommendations must prioritize urgent facility needs, integrate findings from the District's 2026 Study and Survey, focus on teaching and learning, address student population and program requirements, ensure compliance with current standards, provide a long-term (e.g., 25-year) facility plan, and offer pragmatic, durable, and cost-effective solutions. Additionally, the task force is encouraged to explore alternatives to capital construction, partner with local organizations, seek outside funding, and incorporate energy efficiencies and sustainable practices.
