BoardCitizens Advisory Council Meeting Minutes
The council received public comments regarding longwall mining impacts under Act 54 and natural resource conservation efforts. Updates were provided on the Chesapeake Bay Program, the search process for a new Executive Director, and the development of the 2008-2013 Act 54 Five Year Report. A panel discussion took place regarding the Proposed Endangered Species Coordination Act. Additionally, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) discussed policy updates, including sewage treatment system regulations, regulatory packages, public participation initiatives, and outreach strategies to increase transparency.
