The Council favored maps one and two and requested modifications to create two majority-minority districts. The modified maps will be presented at the fourth public hearing.

The Revenue Measure Committee meetings covered topics such as budget and reserve policies, fund groups, risk management, constrained resources, and deferred needs. The condition and outlook of the General Fund were discussed, along with the Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works, Utilities and Engineering Departments, Parks & Community Services, and Code Enforcement needs. Staff updates included the National Community Survey and voter polling. The committee is tasked with making a recommendation to the City Council, including priorities.

The Hanford City Council held their annual Strategic Planning Workshop to discuss priority items, receive staff updates, and explore future planning. The workshop included a review of council/manager roles, a progress report on 2020-21 goals (Parks & Recreation, Property Management, Public Outreach & Transparent Government, Homelessness, and Customer Service), and a discussion of priorities for the 2021-22 fiscal year. The council reviewed best practices for governance and discussed potential revisions to goal statements for the upcoming year. Individual council members also shared additional interests, including topics such as a "Night Life" strategic plan, establishing reserve funds, and exploring new downtown incentives.
