The minutes from the Emergency Committee (CUBDS-251014) were received, noting the sanctioning of 14 student files. Discussions covered the evaluation process for the Senate committees reform, with a mandate presentation scheduled for January 2026. A working group report on the academic bodies' meeting schedule was adopted, agreeing that two meetings in the January-June 2026 period would be held in person (March 6 and May 8), while acknowledging the long-term goal of a more convivial remote experience, currently hampered by technical logistics. The Bureau sanctioned the student files for the February 2026 graduation ceremony and reviewed the roadmap for the November 28, 2025 Academic Senate meeting, noting that one item would be held in camera. The possibility of an extraordinary SAC meeting in January was accepted. Statistics for the October 2025 graduation, totaling 189 diplomas across campuses, were noted, along with the scheduling of the annual evaluation for the Academic Senate President in mid-January.

The Council reviewed the Rector and Vice-Chancellor's report, which included updates on a new physiotherapy program, funding allocations, and international agreements. The meeting also addressed the progress of the 'Cap sur l'avenir' strategic plan, featuring updates on advancement rates and upcoming forums. Nominations were confirmed for the Governance Committee, the Council itself, and various other committees including audit and placement. Additionally, reports from the Finance and Investment committees were presented, alongside a proposal for a project to contextualize the University's history and name. The Council also received updates on philanthropy and alumni relations strategies and reviewed the presentation of the new University website.

The Centre de recherche sur la ruralité du Nouveau-Brunswick (CR2NB) aims to produce, enhance, and disseminate in-depth knowledge concerning rural realities and issues in New Brunswick. Its vision is to actively contribute to sustainable rural development by integrating knowledge from research, the community, and governments. Key objectives include developing high-level expertise, training new researchers, fostering collaboration between stakeholders, and strengthening community capacities. The research focuses on local governance, rural transport and housing, and rural health.

This strategic plan, covering 2013-2020, was developed through extensive consultation with academic, Francophone, and Acadian communities, as well as private sector and civil society partners. It outlines strategic areas, directions, and objectives for the Université de Moncton to achieve by 2020.
