The council issued proclamations for Older Americans Month and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The commission participated in a training session regarding Open Meeting and Public Records laws led by the City Attorney. Additionally, an update was provided on the Recreation Center and Indoor Pool project, noting the release of the Request for Qualifications for a Construction Manager at Risk and outlining the subsequent timeline for firm selection and project recommendation.

The City Council conducted several public hearings regarding the Fiscal Year 2027 budget, a CDBG grant application for a housing rehabilitation roofing program, rezoning for a new automotive facility, and PUD-B site plans for residential and commercial developments. Key actions included amending the budget to increase support for affordable housing, reducing the transit levy, and selecting a construction manager for the new Recreation and Aquatic Center project. Additionally, the council approved rezoning measures, various plat approvals, and the naming of a new natural recreation area, while also addressing tobacco violations and water connection fee ordinances.
