Ashland Town Hall Annual Meeting
The annual town hall address included a state of the city report by the mayor, recognition of the City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission, and the presentation of the James M. Ragland Memorial Ashland Volunteer Spirit Community Service Award and the Allan Bates Public Service Award. The state of the city report covered efforts to improve city operations, including new records request software, the disposal of old records, labor contract negotiations, and initiatives to reduce workplace safety claims. It also highlighted the tidying of the municipal code, completed compensation and classification studies, improvements to utility discount programs, and the launch of a digital e-newsletter for community engagement.
