The Borough Council discussed a pending lawsuit concerning a land use matter and deliberated on the course of action for future litigation.

The council meeting covered various topics, including the approval of bills and minutes from previous meetings. Committee and engineer reports detailed updates on the Hawthorn Landfill, several NJDOT Local Aid Grants (Beach Road, Columbia Boulevard & Pine Street; Second Street; Simpson Avenue; Asbury Avenue; and grant applications for Wesley and Lakehurst Avenues), well replacements, the PFNA Treatment Project, Lakehurst Avenue Watermain Extension, Asset Management Plan, NJPDES Permit compliance, and PFNA litigation. The solicitor, police chief, and fire chief also provided reports. New business included discussion of the upcoming Memorial Day parade.
