The council discussed and approved a rollback millage rate for the fiscal year 2025. An attorney presented a request for annexation and rezoning of a property for a large residential and commercial project. The council also approved a road closure for a Latin festival and a paving contract. Additionally, there was a discussion regarding an IGA for fire services, and the city manager announced a surplus sale of items from the old city hall.

The council discussed the FY 2025-2026 budget, a MOU for Baynes Creek Development LLC, and an annexation request for parcel number 0520000220. An alcohol permit request for Jazz Legacy was approved. A bid to purchase the old BBT building was presented but the motion to approve the bid died due to the lack of a second.

The council also approved a water tower agreement with Verizon Wireless, where Verizon would cover the costs for cellar extension installation. The wastewater department was recognized for significant energy savings.
