Río Grande Trail Association Strategic Plan 2026-2030
This Strategic Plan outlines the long-term direction for the Río Grande Trail Association, a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to the planning, development, stewardship, promotion, and long-term sustainability of the 500-mile Río Grande Trail. The plan is structured around seven strategic priorities: Community Engagement & Partnerships; Funding & Organizational Sustainability; Trail Completion & Connectivity; Stewardship, Volunteers & Maintenance; Interpretation, Education & Trail Identity; Communications & Public Awareness; and Governance & Organizational Development. It aims to achieve outcomes such as a connected trail corridor, trusted relationships, a culture of stewardship, and economic and community benefits, implemented through a regional approach and intentional organizational growth.
