Regular City Council Meeting
The council meeting agenda included several key items. Public hearings were scheduled for ordinances concerning rezoning multiple properties, prezoning property for the Alabama Baptist Children's Home, and rezoning property for Western REI LLC. Resolutions covered an agreement with ATC for police department building construction materials testing, weed abatement at two properties, the appointment of library board members, the purchase of fire department CPR assist devices, adoption of the FY21 budget, FY20 fourth-quarter budget amendments, the appointment of the Public Building Authority board of directors, authorization for ATRIP II and ALDOT Rail-Highway Safety Programs grant applications, and authorizing the mayor-elect as a signatory for the city.
