Morris County Board of County Commissioners Commission Meeting
The commissioners received several appropriation requests for the 2027 budget year from the Morris County Historical Society, Kansas Legal Services, the Greater Morris County Development Corporation, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Morris County Conservation District, which will be considered during the budgeting process. The board approved an audit engagement letter with a CPA for the 2025 fiscal year and authorized Neighborhood Revitalization Plan rebates. Additionally, they approved public transportation grant funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation, reviewed accounts payable and payroll liabilities, authorized critical repairs for building facilities, and approved a letter of support for a USD 481 school violence prevention grant application. The session also included a review of public works road and bridge maintenance reports.
