The meeting agenda focuses on various land use and planning applications, including declarations of lead agency and negative declarations for projects at 342 N. Mohawk Street and 60 Remsen Street. The Board of Managers meeting included the approval of a promotional contract with Albany Broadcasting for 2026 city events, such as Rock The Block and various holiday celebrations. Additionally, the board authorized the issuance of a notice to bidders for the Empire State Trail/Delaware Ave Bike/Hike Trail Improvements project. This project, fully funded by grant reimbursements through the Hudson River Valley Greenway, involves asphalt installation, signage, pavement markings, and stormwater drainage enhancements covering 1.3 miles of the trail.

The meeting included a public hearing regarding updates to the city code for convenience stores and smoke or vape shops. The workshop featured a presentation of the 2025 audit, along with discussions regarding the rehabilitation of the Delaware Avenue bike trail, open container laws, and water and sewer tapping fees. During the special meeting portion, Local Law No. 1 of 2026 was approved, as well as Ordinance No. 8 and Ordinance No. 9 concerning water and sewer regulations, respectively. Decisions were made regarding lead agency declarations, negative declarations, and final site plan approvals for projects at 342 North Mohawk Street, 330-342 North Mohawk Street, and 60 Remsen Street, including conditions for delivery hours, lighting, and fencing. Other business included approving a lot line adjustment for 240-244 North Mohawk Street, site plan reviews and new tenant applications for 184 Remsen Street, a home occupation request for 62 Saratoga Street, and a new tenant application for 172 Remsen Street.

The board considered and approved a subdivision application for 160 Dartmouth Street. They also approved site plans for a building project at 100-108 Ontario Street to address parking, and for a development at 222-240 Remsen Street and 23 Columbia Street, which included declaring a negative declaration under SEQRA. Additionally, the board approved a site plan, special use permit for gasoline pumps, and environmental declaration for the Stewarts project at 342 N. Mohawk Street, as well as a site plan for a second dwelling at 134 Bridge Avenue contingent on the installation of a vinyl fence. The meeting also included an announcement regarding a board member resignation.
