The strategy aims to mitigate deer-human conflicts and manage the urban deer population within the social carrying capacity of its residents, not to eliminate it. It outlines management options focusing on conflict reduction, population reduction (including a controlled managed hunt), and public education, outreach, and enforcement, emphasizing long-term success through behavioral changes and widespread tool implementation.

This Regional Transit Study Final Report for the Town of Truro and the Municipality of Colchester addresses the community's identified need for public transit. It comprehensively assesses and designs transit service concepts based on policy review, demographic analysis, and extensive public and stakeholder engagement. Key strategic principles include enhancing connectivity to major destinations, ensuring food security, supporting economic development through job access, and promoting equitable service for all residents. The study proposes a conceptual transit network with five routes and two transit hubs, recommending a jointly owned operating model with contracted services provided by the Colchester Transportation Cooperative Limited (CTCL).
