The event commenced with a land acknowledgement recognizing the Leni Lenape people as the original inhabitants of the land, followed by a prayer reaffirming commitment to anti-racist and decolonizing actions. The main address focused on the scripture reading from Ezekiel 37, concerning the valley of dry bones. The speaker related the text to contemporary societal issues such as the lingering effects of the pandemic, social division, and acts of violence, noting that the graduating class is called to minister in a 'time of dry bones.'
