The strategic plan for the City of Dawson Creek outlines a roadmap from 2022 to 2026. Through these priorities, the plan aims to ensure financial sustainability, adapt to climate change, strengthen community relationships, diversify the economy, optimize facilities to meet citizen needs, and foster a dynamic downtown environment that attracts business, residents, and visitors.

The council meeting included a proclamation for National Accessibility Week and a presentation by the Dawson Creek Society for Community Living. The council received an update on the men's provincial hockey championship and the presentation of the Koi Cup. Additionally, the council heard a request for a letter of endorsement for the annual triathlon, discussing the event's evolution, youth participation, and community impact, along with acknowledgment of recent city paving projects.
