District 127 is committed to fostering a community where everyone belongs, feels supported, and has the opportunity to thrive through purposeful learning, well-being initiatives, and community engagement. The district aims to provide authentic learning experiences, respect student diversity, and prepare students for college, career, and life beyond. It also focuses on maintaining resources and facilities, promoting energy efficiency, and ensuring a safe, valued, and inclusive environment for all students and staff.

The vision emphasizes scaling up opportunities for students through CTE lenss, embedding practicums in various areas like metals, and rethinking how students gain experiences. It involves reverse mentorship by bringing work into the classroom virtually, engaging companies to provide authentic problems for students to solve, and offering mentorship and feedback. The block schedule allows for deeper dives, with teachers advocating for community partnerships to highlight skills. The goal is to prepare students for post-graduation success by focusing on career-focused activities, encouraging focused job choices, and building career pathways that extend beyond CTE courses. This includes inviting experts into core courses, expanding hands-on experiences, and celebrating staff involvement.

Mr. Singh presented information on the ESSER III Grant ARP section 2001 American Rescue Act. Public participation was opened, but no members of the public addressed the board. The meeting was adjourned.
