City Council
The City Council meeting included a commendation to Robert Tapia for his retirement from the City of Palmdale. The council addressed monthly investment activity reports for May 2025, and approved the third amendment to the agreement with Eide Bailly, LLP for financial auditing services, increasing the not-to-exceed amount to $1,159,128 through June 30, 2028. An agreement with Advantage Mailing LLC for printing, binding, and bundling the Palmdale magazine was approved, not to exceed $360,000 for a three-year term. The council also adopted Resolution No. CC 2025-051 to modify the Planning Commission's meeting time. Additionally, the council approved a Community Workforce Agreement, awarded a construction services agreement for the Marie Kerr Park Best of The West Concession Stand Project, approved a requisition with Walsma Oil Company, Inc. for fuel, and approved change orders for fertilizer and irrigation supplies. Planning Commission reappointments for Districts 2 and 5 were approved. The council also discussed and adopted ordinances and resolutions related to municipal code amendments, drainage benefit assessment districts, landscape maintenance, park maintenance, streetlight maintenance, and sewer collection service charges. Finally, the council held a conference with legal counsel regarding anticipated litigation.
