The Commissioners Court held a regular meeting to conduct various administrative and operational items. The proceedings included opening bids for a precinct crew-cab pickup and subsequently approving the acquisition from Bruner Motors, Inc. Additionally, the court approved a road bore permit, the re-platting of residential lots in Mountain Lakes, and an interagency mutual aid agreement for fire departments. Other business items included the renewal of the Affordable Care Act reporting services, approval of official bonds for a constable, declaring office items as salvage, initiating a bid process for a constable vehicle, and approving an equipment list for the sheriff's office. Updates were provided regarding the local status of COVID-19 and guidelines from the Governor's Office.

The Commissioner's Court discussed and approved the continuation and amendment of the Declaration of Public Health Emergency related to COVID-19. Additionally, they approved a contract with CSC and Simplifile to implement eFiling for land records in the County Clerk's Office to facilitate the closure of the office to in-person filings.

The court approved the consent agenda, authorized an appointment for Constable 2, and approved a contract for video magistrate services. Other actions included granting permission for a contract with a laundry service, approving line item transfers, invoices, and a petty cash fund for the County Clerk. Special budget grant funds for NIBRS were approved, as were a road bore permit and permission to clean a fence row for drainage. The court approved bidding for a new pickup truck, tabled an economic development policy, and discussed new business related to postponed elections, assistance for those affected by the health emergency, and a vehicle identification number correction.

The Commissioner's Court meeting included several key actions such as approving various line item transfers for departments including the Sheriff's office and Elections. The court approved invoices for payment, authorized cell phone allowances for EMS staff, and decided against reducing an ambulance bill. Further actions included approving a revised county travel policy, corrected and final subdivision plats, and preliminary plans for residential and RV park developments. Bids were opened and approved for a Sheriff's office vehicle upfit. Additionally, the court approved election services contracts, appointed election workers, declared property as surplus for auction, and handled routine department personnel and resource management tasks. A closed executive session was held for a financial matter before the meeting was adjourned.
