Executive Committee of Centre College of Kentucky Meeting Minutes
Throughout 1930, the Executive Committee addressed numerous financial and operational matters for Centre College. Key actions included the payment of bills, authorization of financial loans and bank notes, management of endowment investments, and adjustments to insurance policies. Academic and administrative initiatives involved the selection of a superintendent of buildings and grounds, planning for a new dormitory (Kennedy Hall), consolidation discussions with Kentucky College for Women, and the establishment of honorary degree recommendations. The Committee also reviewed department reports, appointed faculty members, addressed property and campus improvements, and reaffirmed employment policies regarding married couples on staff. Several resolutions of appreciation for gifts and memorials were passed, and plans were initiated to address the institution's Christian education program and future constitutional convention discussions.
