Following an in camera session, the council authorized a confidential legal letter pursuant to the Access of Information Act and formally adopted the town government relations plan.

The council meeting addressed several agenda items, including a request to extend the deadline for the Joint Use Planning Agreement with school divisions and the approval of the 2026 Services and Service Levels Inventory. The council discussed amendments to the meeting schedule for June 2026, specifically regarding the cancellation of a Committee of the Whole meeting and the rescheduling of a Regular Council Meeting. Additionally, the council reviewed capital budget amendments, membership opportunities for Invest Greater Calgary, and board reports from the Strathmore Library Board and the Western Hills Management Board.

The Council meeting focused on two primary actions: the final acceptance of the conditional purchase agreement for the Strathmore Golf Club water license transfer, including associated funding authorizations from the water capital reserve; and the approval to advertise the Delta Force Paintball Canada Limited lease in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.

Additionally, the council discussed public comments, board and committee reports, and conducted closed sessions regarding land items and administrative dialogue.

The committee meeting primarily focused on the 2027 capital project and major initiatives priority matrix. Discussions included the nine criteria used to rate capital projects, the weighting assigned to these criteria, and how best practices from other municipalities were incorporated into the process. The committee also discussed the municipal enforcement service department, focusing on staffing levels and population ratios.
