Old Lyme Zoning Commission Regular Meeting
The commission discussed a special permit application to convert an existing building into a funeral home. It was discovered that a clerical error in the recently adopted zoning regulations omitted an amendment regarding embalming, creating a conflict for the application. To resolve this, the commission approved a motion to re-adopt the regulation in a future hearing. The applicant was directed to withdraw and resubmit the application to align with the process, and the commission voted to waive associated fees for the refiling.
