City of Sunland Park Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting
The commission reviewed two key agenda items. First, it approved a special use permit for a cannabis production facility, stipulating that the applicant must coordinate with the municipal water department regarding drainage to ensure compliance. Second, the commission addressed a variance request for the installation of a chain-link fence around a solar microgrid at 295 Canella Road. The request was driven by regulatory requirements for physical barriers around electrical infrastructure and financial constraints facing the applicant.
