Carleton College Strategic Plan 2023-2033
The Carleton 2033 Strategic Direction outlines nine primary goals and twenty-seven recommended actions to ensure Carleton's continued success. The plan is built upon three core values: community, curiosity, and impact. Key areas of focus include enhancing accessibility and equity for students from all backgrounds, fostering a supportive community, championing a broad liberal arts education through innovative teaching and interdisciplinary approaches, promoting sustainability, and preparing students for lives of impact through civic engagement and career exploration. The plan aims to strengthen the Carleton community, cultivate curiosity and experimentation, and prepare students for lives of impact. Specific actions include expanding financial aid, increasing socioeconomic diversity, promoting student well-being, supporting faculty and staff, fostering interdisciplinary learning, advancing sustainability initiatives, and enhancing career exploration and alumni engagement.
