The Keep Hutchins Beautiful Board held a meeting to discuss several initiatives and community interests. The board discussed FY2026 initiatives, considering planning one initiative each quarter, resulting in a total of four events per year. They explored the possibility of murals for the basketball courts and other initiatives such as R&B and Recycle, presentations at the elementary school about littering and recycling, and having children paint stones to decorate the city. The board also discussed the Texas Recycle Grant, determining that KHB does not currently qualify due to the requirement of an established recycling program. The possibility of a recycling program in Hutchins, and its associated costs for residents, will be further investigated. The board also discussed the Christmas Parade.
