KU Libraries Strategic Plan 2024-2028
This 2026 State of the Libraries Address reviews progress on the KU Libraries' 2024-2028 strategic plan, which serves as a roadmap for the institution's future direction. The plan prioritizes student success, healthy and vibrant communities, and research and discovery, supported by foundational pillars such as organizational culture, technology, physical spaces, and financial stability. Key initiatives include team development, a new organizational structure for agility, integrated campus-wide collaboration (1KU), enhanced student services (common book, dynamic learning spaces, digital resources, maker spaces), community engagement, and advancements in open access, digital scholarship, and a new library services platform. Looking ahead, the vision includes expanding the Institute for Digital Research in the Humanities, proactively addressing AI's impact, and exploring diversified revenue streams.
