The council will discuss and potentially take action on several items, including an executive session to receive legal advice regarding pending litigation; bike trails at West Side Park; renewal of agricultural leases with Barbwire S Farms, GHK Farms, and Louis and Linda Taylor; a Penco Design Agreement for engineering services; a purchase agreement for a playground surface; a new purchase and procurement policy; adoption of the Standard Traffic Ordinance and Uniform Public Offense Code; and various reports and discussions.

The council will discuss and take action on the Sunflower Festival update, correcting event dates. An invoice from IPS for dry ice cleaning of a generator will be reviewed and approved. Ordinance No. 1688, amending the 2017 Municipal Code, will be considered. Reports and discussions will cover 2025 street projects, the 2025 spring cleanup, KDOT's acceptance of a traffic study project, and an update on Kansas Housing Authority funds for Park Place. The consent agenda includes approval of minutes from a previous meeting, payroll ordinances, a general ordinance, utility billing reports, and youth art mayor proclamation. Reappointments to the KMEA Board of Directors will also be considered.
