The forum was held to gather feedback on Policy CKA, which concerns staff volunteer concealed carry, also known as personnel authorized to carry. The policy is a draft developed in response to state law changes, specifically House Bill 172, which repeals gun-free zones. Key discussion points included the policy's implications for school safety, the extent of training and psychological evaluations required for staff, and the balance between implementing the policy and maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.

The board meeting included discussions and recognitions. Staff members of the year, Caitlyn Scott and Rochelle Johnson, and teacher of the year, Mrs. Kelly King, were acknowledged for their contributions. The budget and finance committee reported a positive financial status with grant money coming in. Updates were provided on the calendar committee, policy updates, adult education, and facilities projects, including the nearing completion of the generator project and the installation of barriers in front of the administrative building. There were also discussions regarding the reclassification of high school athletics and the upcoming Boseies meeting.

The Fremont County School District #2 Board of Trustees approved the 2025-2026 salary schedules, which include changes to base salaries and step/lane movements for various positions, such as teachers, principals, guidance counselors, librarians, and other staff. Adjustments were made to compensate for 12 months of work for certain positions, and a summer school/ESY hourly rate was added for teachers. The schedules also outline salary charts based on years of experience and education levels, as well as substitute rates and extra duty schedules.

The 2022-2023 Continuous Improvement Plan for Fremont County School District #2 Dubois School focuses on improving student performance in reading and math. Key goals include increasing the median student growth percentile (SGP) in reading and math for grades 4-8, raising the percentage of students proficient or advanced in WY-TOPP Math and ELA assessments.
