Delaware Public Service Commission Public Comment Session
The public comment session addressed Delmarva Power and Light Company's request for an electric base rate increase. Key discussion points included justifications for the increase, such as infrastructure investments for grid resilience and the company's net-zero carbon goals. The session also covered proposed tariff riders for bad debt, low-income assistance, and bill stabilization, as well as a proposed residential time-of-use rate plan. Public feedback emphasized concerns regarding the financial burden on residents and called for a detailed examination of cost allocation, specifically requesting that large load customers bear their fair share of infrastructure-related expenses.
