Charter Committee Meeting
The committee discussed modifying the agenda to address the Mayor Pro Tem language, specifically proposing a shift from May to June to avoid potential conflict with election runoffs, which would be submitted to a referendum. Deliberations regarding advisory boards included proposals to standardize board selection processes, limit the number of boards a member can serve on to two, and implement term limits to encourage fresh perspectives. The committee decided to table further discussion on advisory boards until the commission updates the relevant ordinances. Additionally, the committee considered the integration of a Citizens Bill of Rights into the charter.
