The 2023-2024 Ashland Elementary School ACIP focuses on preparing students for a rapidly changing world by developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Key areas of focus include professional learning for teachers, technology integration, and community engagement. Specific initiatives involve developing leadership skills among teachers and students, acquiring technology to support 21st-century learning (including a 1:1 technology ratio), and providing opportunities for parent and community involvement in school events to highlight student achievement. The plan also emphasizes using data (iReady, aimsweb) to track and improve student performance, particularly for special education students. Character development through House Meetings is also a key component.
