The board adopted the proposed budget and set the total tax rates for Maintenance & Operation and Interest & Sinking. Additionally, the board approved the purchase of a new walk-in cooler vault and refrigeration system for the middle school and a combination walk-in cooler and freezer vault for the high school, as well as gas line repairs for the middle school. The resignation of Lori Martin was accepted, and new staff members were employed. The board also reviewed campus activities and projects, and discussed the Fund 699 Bond Series for the new high school construction.
The Board of Trustees of the Winnsboro Independent School District convened a special session. A public hearing was held to discuss the proposed budget for 2019-2020 and the 2019 tax rate. There were no requests to address the Board concerning the proposed budget or tax rate.
