The commission held a public hearing regarding the amendment of the 2018 Arapahoe County Comprehensive Plan to adopt by reference the Strasburg 2050: Strasburg Subarea Plan. Discussion points included the planning process, guiding principles for the development of the Strasburg area over the next 25 years, and the implementation matrix designed to guide public and private investment. The commission ultimately voted to move the comprehensive plan amendment forward for approval by the Board of County Commissioners.

The meeting included the adoption of proclamations recognizing National Automotive Service Professional Day, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. The Board approved the consent agenda, which encompassed multiple items such as stipulated abatement reductions, acceptance of a uniform easement deed and revocable drainage license agreement, an arbitration stipulation, approval of abatement referee recommendations, an affordable housing development grant allocation adjustment, and the intergovernmental agreement for the financial dissolution of the former 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office. Additionally, the Board discussed and approved resolutions concerning firework usage restrictions in unincorporated areas due to high fire danger and the adoption of the first quarter 2026 supplemental budget.

The board conducted a study session covering several key administrative and policy items. Discussion topics included the approval of a select source waiver for state lobbying services, a review of recent FEMA restructuring and its potential impacts on the county, an overview of the upcoming fire season and current fire danger rating systems, and a proposal for a rooftop solar photovoltaic project on six county facilities to leverage federal tax credits. Additionally, the board held an executive session to receive legal advice on several confidential matters, including an EEOC charge, a cell tower case, a mediation case, and a coroner vacancy, and discussed an extension for a landfill purchase.

The board discussed an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for data use with the City of Greenwood Village, which was approved. Additionally, the board reviewed the compensation for the appointed Arapahoe County Coroner role, including a comparison of salaries for forensic pathologists in the region, an overview of the workload, and the current vacancy in the office.

The Board of Health discussed and approved a proposal regarding the adoption of Environmental Health fee increases. Additionally, the agenda included study sessions featuring presentations on the Fiscal Year 2027 draft budget and an overview of the Retail Food Program, as well as a report from the Director.
