The City of West Kelowna's 2022-2026 Strategic Priorities provide direction under four pillars: Invest in Infrastructure, Pursue Economic Growth and Prosperity, Strengthen our Community, and Foster Safety and Well-Being. The plan aims to achieve a vision of West Kelowna as a resilient, welcoming, safe, and inclusive place, rich with opportunity for all ages, by focusing on infrastructure development, economic advancement, community engagement, and enhancing safety and well-being services.

The council held a special meeting to move into a closed session in accordance with the Community Charter. The closed session was convened to discuss matters pertaining to personnel, labour and employee relations, the acquisition or disposition of land, litigation or potential litigation, legal advice subject to solicitor-client privilege, and preliminary negotiations regarding the provision of municipal services.

This closed session was held under the Community Charter to address specific matters, including personal information regarding an identifiable individual, labour and employee relations, the receipt of advice subject to solicitor-client privilege, and discussions with municipal staff regarding objectives and progress reports for the annual report.

The council discussed and made resolutions on several topics, including updates to the Neighbourhood Community Associations Policy, the review of the 2026-2030 Financial Plan, and amendments to previous financial plan bylaws. Council also approved 2026 Grant in Aid allocations for various community organizations, received reports on the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and the Main City Software Platform, and supported the implementation of a base licensing program for commercial boat launches. Additionally, council addressed zoning amendments for short-term rentals, Housing Accelerator Fund pre-approved building designs, modifications to traffic and bylaw enforcement bylaws, a traffic calming request for Gossett Road, and the renewal of the Glen Canyon Regional Park joint management agreement.
