Mississippi Home Corporation Strategic Plan
This strategic plan outlines a comprehensive path from homelessness to stable housing. It details a three-step systematic approach: identifying community needs (including population data, health intersections, and the financial burden of homelessness); creating a strategic system to address these needs through robust outreach and engagement, ensuring access to affordable housing, and providing comprehensive case management with supportive services; and establishing measurable performance indicators. Key goals include expanding and preserving affordable rental housing, and linking housing development with employment and supportive services to promote self-sufficiency. The plan aims to achieve improved housing stability, reduced time homeless, decreased returns to homelessness, increased income and self-sufficiency, and strengthened cross-sector partnerships, recognizing affordable housing as a social determinant of health and underscoring the critical role of integrated supports and collaboration.
