The Planning Commission held a meeting to discuss several items. The agenda included the approval of minutes from a previous meeting, correspondence, board reports, and presentations, including the annual ZBA report. New business involved preliminary reviews for a D. Clare Services office and storage, as well as a Dunkin Donuts/Filling Station. The commission also discussed the 2019 PC Annual Report to the Board of Trustees and continued a discussion on amending sections of the Zoning Ordinance.

The agenda included updates from the Board of Trustees, ZBA, and Sidewalks and Pathway Prioritization Committee. The Planning Commission discussed the Prestige Center Assisted Living and Memory Care Expansion, including reviewing the updated final site plan application. They also discussed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments, specifically Punch List #2, and a proposal resolution to participate in the State's Redevelopment Ready Communities Program. The commission reviewed and considered language for a Parks and Recreation Township Survey.

The acceptance of the Annual Report of the Zoning Board of Appeals for 2023, adoption of the Planning Commission's 2023 Annual Report to the Board of Trustees, proposed zoning ordinance amendments, and a proposal to suspend meetings of and appointments to the Sidewalk and Pathways Privatization Committee were all on the agenda.

The Planning Commission meeting included discussions and recommendations regarding various zoning and development-related items. These included solar energy systems regulations, preliminary plat review of the amended plat of Village of Isabella City, site plan review for a commercial property, and a special use request for Mitchell's Deli/McGuirk Mini Storage filling station. The commission also addressed a rezone application, an amended site plan for McDonald's, and an amendment to a special use request for McGuirk Mini Storage.
