The commission meeting included discussions and actions on budget amendments and appropriations, including the approval of Budget Amendment #134C and the presentation of the Office of Sheriff Annual Financial Report. The election of the chair was held, and budget amendments and appropriations were discussed, including contributions to the Rhea County Fair rodeo sponsorship, block grant TV address and food security, mental health grant, donation fund from waste board action, state journey grant, DUI law grants, evidence-based programming, local health services grant, use grand funds from courthouse second floor, oceans and other fees associated with tournament resolution, tourism enhancement grant, security agreement, Law Enforcement Hiring Training and Recruitment Grant, main radiological screen, TBA radiological work funding, historical development grant for renovation to the historic Rhea County courthouse, drone liability insurance, marketing grant, vacation payout for employees, office supplies for county fires, universal land platforms for the county clerk office, budget line correction, annual contribution to rate economic tourism council, purchase of guns from Sheriff's Department, State of Tennessee salary sub sheriff's department, receive additional funds to add a resource officer to the grant, journey grant, enforcement of Tennessee driving under the influence laws group, replacement of NDR camera server for jail, and to replace in honor of record season road.
