The Statewide NG911 GIS Strategic Plan for Pennsylvania focuses on supporting ongoing GIS data development and maintenance for accurate 911 call routing, as well as GIS data enrichment to facilitate the adoption of new mapping technologies. Key goals include promoting addressing in alignment with NG911 standards, operationalizing 3D mapping technology and vertical elevation data, maintaining NG911-ready GIS data, supporting county NG911 GIS professional recruitment and retention, ensuring GIS data supports interstate interoperability, and encouraging adoption of the NG911 GIS Data Model Standard across PSAP mapping platforms. The plan aims to enhance location intelligence and improve 911 service through these efforts.
