The commission reviewed and approved an Attraction Development Fund application for the Mid-Missouri Sports Park expansion, providing $100,000 in funding over four years to increase court capacity. Additionally, staff provided updates on bids for Missouri State High School Activities Association championship venues, discussed recent and upcoming sports events held at city facilities, and reported on recent sports sales activities, including a past travel exchange event designed to attract new event planners to the city.
The Commission discussed several key items, including presentations on the Renewable Energy Plan, Utility Services Report, and Climate Action and Adaptation Plan public comments. Other discussion topics included the Commission's 2026 priorities, the Butterfly Festival, and the approval of the Commission's section of the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan Annual Report.
