The council approved the purchase of rescue airbags from Banner Fire Equipment, and agreed to list the old Vector truck on Purple Wave for sale. They also approved the purchase of salt from DBK, and an upgrade for the animal control software from BSNA. Additionally, the council approved the purchase of playground equipment for Sunset Park.

The council approved an intergovernmental agreement with Jefferson County 911 dispatch to enhance radio communication for police officers. They also approved the final plan for Birchwood Estates Phase 3, addressing sidewalk connectivity to the school. The meeting included the appointment of a vice president, discussion of the investment schedule and insurance policy notices, and a plant manager's report. The plant manager discussed a tentative shutdown in September for air raater and slaker maintenance, including changing a propeller. There was also discussion about the new SCADA system and the need to follow up with Durkin for an implementation schedule.
