The North Newton School Corporation is conducting a public hearing regarding the proposed Bus Replacement Plan for the years 2025-2029. The plan includes estimated replacement costs for buses and minibuses over the next five years. The plan also addresses justification for additional bus purchases, transportation services, and/or early bus replacement, as well as a plan amendment due to enrollment decreases. The resolution to adopt the Bus Replacement Plan for the budget year 2025 will be submitted to the Department of Local Government Finance.

The meeting addressed personnel matters, including approvals for certified personnel, support staff, and extracurricular personnel. Discussions included staff leaves, transfers, promotions, and resignations. Financial reports and claims were reviewed, along with updates on software renewals and facility maintenance. The board also discussed homecoming week activities and plans for a bonfire and pep session.

Future plans for the school year were also discussed, including summer school, teacher evaluations, and kindergarten roundup.
