Harris County Community Wildfire Protection Plan
The Harris County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) serves as a roadmap to identify objectives for reducing wildland fire risks for the residents of Harris County. It focuses on three primary categories: public education actions to involve property owners, property development actions to increase awareness and mitigation of wildland fire risk, and activities to strengthen the County's wildfire suppression capabilities. The plan aims to mitigate risks in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), improve wildfire protection, enhance public understanding, foster inter-agency cooperation, and address funding needs.
