The public hearing focused on the presentation of the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) by campus principals, which included an overview of school improvements and identified areas of concern.

The council discussed the purpose of the School Health Advisory Council, which is to assist the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in health education instruction. Key topics included state legislative requirements, the recruitment of a parent to serve as co-chair, and mandates from HB 1525 regarding human sexuality instruction.
