The board approved the hiring of several consultants for special services as required by board policy. Specifically, the board authorized contracts for DJ services for school dances at Junction Avenue K-8 School and William Mendenhall Middle School, as well as professional development services for transitional kindergarten staff and administrators.

The board approved an agreement with E.L. Achieve to provide professional development focused on the Constructing Meaning program. This program is designed to support students in language and literacy by offering teachers practical tools for explicit language instruction in content areas. The initiative includes training for teachers and instructional leaders, access to digital and print resources, and ongoing technical assistance. The agreement is funded through the Learning Recovery Block Grant.
