The board held a joint workshop with the Human Relations Commission to review and discuss a draft Attainable Housing Ordinance. Key topics included the potential financial impact of permit fee waivers for developers, income-based qualification processes for renters and homebuyers, the role of nonprofit community partners, the long-term rental qualification requirements, and the relationship between the ordinance and the village's comprehensive plan. Additionally, the commission provided input on community survey results and the pros and cons of implementing local preference policies for housing unit assignments. The board reached a consensus to move the draft ordinance forward to the public hearing phase with the Plan Commission.

The commission reviewed multiple signage and awning proposals. They recommended that the Village Board of Trustees approve new signage for Boxville Automotive, contingent upon submitting an exhibit for staff review and adding landscaping. Additionally, they recommended approval for new awnings for George Garner Cyclery and new signage for Bare Med Spa, the latter conditioned on painting the raceway a specific color in compliance with shopping center design criteria. The meeting also included a welcome for a new commission member.

The board reviewed financial reports, including the cash analysis, revenue, and expense reports for the preceding period, and approved associated disbursements. The meeting included discussions on the cash management policy, recurring withdrawal instructions for the upcoming year, and an investment review. The board accepted new participants into the pension fund and acknowledged the filing of the annual statement. Additionally, the board adopted the municipal compliance report, established the schedule for future board meetings, and received updates regarding legal and legislative developments related to pension matters.

The committee discussed updates to the Riverside Master Plan, highlighting public survey results and grant funding strategies. A preliminary proposal to lease and reopen the Riverside Golf Course by the Lake County Golf Academy was presented and reviewed. Additionally, the committee approved a draft agreement with District 128 regarding lifeguard services. Other business included updates on the garden plot program, project reports on the Sunrise Rotary playground, and administrative reporting.

The meeting agenda includes a request for a floating pier at Libertyville High School, a follow-up on the Nicholas-Dowden Park Master Plan, and verbal updates concerning summer programming, fall and holiday special events, as well as status reports on Charles Brown Park, Greentree Park, and Canlan Sports facilities.
