The presentation focused on the strategy centered around Lever 4.1 of the Effective Schools Framework: intensive curriculum and instruction improvements, emphasizing high-quality instructional materials, research-based intervention strategies (RBIS) in mathematics and reading, and alignment with the Effective Schools Framework pillars. Specific actions included the adoption of new math curriculum (I Ready Math and STEM Scopes Math) and the implementation of RLA curriculum (HMH Into Reading). Expected outcomes include increased student mastery and growth, to be measured via MAP assessment data. Updates were also provided on ongoing support mechanisms like the LASSO Strong Foundations planning grant and the Texas Instructional Leadership grant, which serve to address the identified concerns.
