The committee agenda includes the establishment of a meeting schedule for the upcoming 2027 calendar year and a review of updates regarding 2026 reimbursements.
The meeting primarily addressed a variance request for an increased fence wall height at 423 Southboundary Avenue Southeast. The applicant sought the variance to mitigate light pollution and ensure privacy after a neighbor installed a large, bright television screen visible from the applicant's property. The Board discussed the current zoning regulations regarding fence heights, the lack of light pollution protections in the existing code, and the applicant's desire to construct a brick masonry wall to restore the quiet enjoyment of her home.
