This 10-year strategic plan by the Government of Alberta aims to fundamentally transform and expand the affordable housing system, ensuring Albertans have access to safe, affordable housing that meets their needs and promotes quality of life. The strategy is structured around five key action areas: supporting the most vulnerable Albertans, improving access to housing supports, increasing capacity, planning and governance within the system, enhancing sustainability and efficiency, and enabling growth and investment through partnerships. The overarching goal is to serve an additional 25,000 households by 2032, reducing red tape, fostering innovation, and shifting the government's role towards regulation and funding.
