The New Mexico Cancer Plan 2026-2031 serves as a comprehensive roadmap for collaborative cancer control efforts across the state. It outlines five strategic priorities: Policy and Systems; Prevention and Risk Reduction; Screening and Early Detection; Care and Treatment; and Survivorship. The plan aims to reduce the overall cancer burden by improving integrated, patient-centered health services, promoting healthful behaviors, increasing equitable access to screening, enhancing the availability and quality of care, and improving the quality of life for all New Mexicans affected by cancer, ultimately ensuring fair opportunities to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
